OUR FOUNDER
JOHN JACKSON
Our founder, John Jackson, started Jacksons back in 1975 with a single service station in Caldwell, Idaho. With a “Let’s Go!” mindset and the help of a talented team, Jacksons Food Stores has become a nationally recognized chain of more than 300 retail stores across the western United States.
Our founder’s can-do spirit is seen in everything we do today – from our enthusiasm for creating clean, well-lit stores where customers feel comfortable and welcomed by friendly staff to seeking out innovative new products with an increasing emphasis on fresh and healthy food to fit their on-the-go lifestyle. We bring passion and a nimble approach to every aspect of our business.
John has been, and remains, personally involved in many associations, including service with St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center Board of Directors, US Bank – Western Idaho Advisory Board, National Shell Wholesale Council (Chairman Emeritus), Chevron Western Region Jobber Council, State of Idaho Petroleum Storage Fund (Trustee), and the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament.

IN THE BEGINNING
It all began with one store in Caldwell, Idaho. This is where the Jacksons Food Stores dream started to take shape, establishing a commitment to quality in service and customer experience.
75 STORE ACQUISITION
Jacksons Food Stores acquires 75 additional stores, expanding our footprint to over 180 locations in 5 states - bringing our special brand of quality products and services to many more customers.
EXTRAMILE BY JACKSONS
Jacksons partners with Chevron to invest in ExtraMile, adding 85 more store locations under a new banner, and growing to serve even more customers across three more western states.
