  • Make-a-Splash Program Congratulates Newest Swimmers

    Jacksons joined the Treasure Valley YMCA in congratulating third graders who finished up their swimming lessons at the Caldwell YMCA yesterday, through this season's Make-a-Splash program. 

    Thanks to a $25,000 contribution made by Jacksons Food Stores, the YMCA was able to expand the program to area schools including those in Caldwell, Vallivue and Homedale school districts. Over 1,000 third graders are taking swimming lessons through the program.

  • Jennie Reed Elementary School in Tacoma receives an iPad Learning Lab

    Jacksons Food Stores and the United Dairy Farmers of Washington were thrilled to present an iPad Learning Lab to Jennie Reed Elementary School in Tacoma. 

    Learning LabThe donation was made as part of the “Milk Builds Strong Schools,” campaign which set aside 5% of Jacksons gallon milk sales in Washington to fund the purchase of an iPad Learning Lab for a randomly selected school in the state. The campaign ran from March 13 through May 28, 2013.

  • YMCA’s “Make a Splash” Program Expands to Caldwell

    YMCAJacksons Food Stores is excited to partner with the YMCA and the “Make a Splash” program, which focuses on teaching 3rd graders in the Treasure Valley how to swim and be safe around water. Jacksons was happy to support the expansion to the Caldwell YMCA and was able to donate $25,000 to the program, which will also include area schools such as Homedale and Vallivue school districts.

  • iPad Learning Lab Gifted to Valley View Elementary School in Boise

    Jacksons Food Stores was proud to partner with the United Dairymen of Idaho to fund an Apple iPad Learning Lab for one lucky elementary school in Idaho. In an effort to continually support developing technology offerings in Idaho schools, Jacksons set aside 5% of their gallon milk sales in Idaho from March 13, 2013 through May 28, 2013 for the “Milk Builds Strong Schools” campaign to fund the iPad Learning Lab.

    LearningJacksons was excited to visit the winning school, Valley View Elementary, in Boise on September 6 for the presentation of the new iPads at the school assembly.

  • Jacksons Gives the Gift of Peace

    In an effort to stop domestic violence, Jacksons Food Stores and its customers have donated a total of $155,437 in the annual “Give the Gift of Peace” campaign. Of that amount, $80,437 came from customer donations at Jacksons Food Stores, and $75,000 through a generous donation by John Jackson.

    Dove The campaign, which runs every year from Thanksgiving Day to Christmas, helps raise funds for the prevention of domestic violence and dating violence through community awareness and to provide free legal civil services to victims.

  • Jacksons Supports Improvements to St.Luke's Children's Hospital

    St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital will soon have a new lobby thanks to a $500,000 donation from Jacksons Food Stores. The new lobby is part of a long-term plan to improve visibility and access to the Children’s Hospital, which is located in St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center. 

    St.Lukes Childrens HospitalSt. Luke’s Children’s Hospital is the only Children’s Hospital in Idaho serving more than 60,000 patients a year. Of that amount, 33 percent come from outside of Ada County.

  • College of Business and Economics Building at Boise State receives funding from Jacksons

    Boise State University received a $500,000 commitment from John Jackson to help construct the new college of Business and Economics building. John Jackson, an alumnus of Boise State, serves on the Foundation Board of Directors and Boise State’s Destination Distinction campaign steering committee.

    “A strong, dynamic business college in the Treasure Valley is essential for the state’s economic development, and John Jackson’s commitment to Boise State helps ensure its impact for years to come,” said Boise State President Bob Kustra. “He is one of Boise State’s and Idaho’s success stories, and we thank him for giving back in support of a high quality learning environment for future students.”

  • Boise State Track and Field Program expands with Gift from Jacksons

    A major addition to the Boise State track and field program was made in 2002 when the university, along with Jacksons Food Stores in Meridian, Idaho, and the Idaho Center of Nampa, Idaho, combined to create the Jacksons Indoor Track at the Idaho Sports Center. The facility is located next to the Idaho Center on the east side of Nampa, and about a 20-minute drive from the main Boise State campus.
