Jacksons Food Stores has gifted the College of Idaho $25,000 to help fund construction of the Wolfe Field Baseball Stadium, a state-of-the-art baseball complex in the Intermountain West. When completed, Wolfe Field Baseball Stadium will feature individual chair-backed seating for more than 1,000 fans, first-class lighting, two covered batting cages, an indoor hitting facility, a press box, concession stands and restrooms, a landscaped courtyard and banners honoring the five Caldwell, American Legion and C of I players who have played Major League Baseball.

“We are proud to be a permanent part of Wolfe Field, reinvesting in the communities we do business in is important to Jacksons Food Stores,” says Cory Jackson, President of Jacksons Food Stores. “We look forward to many years of Coyote baseball.”

The Wolfe Field Baseball Stadium project is a cooperative undertaking between The College of Idaho and the City of Caldwell. It currently is home to The College of Idaho Coyote baseball team as well as both the Silverstreaks and Bobcats, Caldwell’s two American Legion baseball squads. Upon completion, it is anticipated that National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), American Legion, Idaho High School and many youth baseball regular-season and post-season tournaments will be hosted at the facility.
